Lemonaide

Yesterday was an interesting day. I'm not in the sharing mood right now but I can tell you God is working and we are listening. Plans are moving forward and God definately is in control - Always! Excited and a bit nervous at the same time, not sure why nervous guess that is just part of my personality. I go to thinking when life throws you lemons always make lemonaide.

Happy July 4th

July

Looks like July is going to be another fun month. Blake just got his invite for his Blue Belt test. He is now half way to his black belt. So excited for him . His leadership and abilities continue to amaze me. Robert and I are very proud of him.

Felecia is busy with 4H - fair is at the end of the month and she is excited about that. She worked really hard on both of her projects and I'm looking forward to sharing them. She won't let me post them until after fair. We are also very proud of her - God has blessed Robert and I with 2 amazing kids.

We've been busy working on our Renaissance costumes too. They're turning out to be really neat. Mine will be the simple one - I chose to be a peasant woman - found a neat hippy style shirt - to fun. Everybody else is going all out. I'm just excited about eating turkey legs again.

Then of course the kids have Waterworld with their youth. They look forward to this every year. We can never go anywhere in July as it's a packed month - that a good thing - all of our inbetween time will be spent at the pool. These are a few things that I'll be posting over the next few weeks before we head off to Washington State.

Have a Great 4th of July!

Private Home Movies

I was on youtube the other day and ran across Michael's Private Home movies. They're funny. It's really great that he put this project together to share with the world. Shows him for who he really was, someone with a very tender heart and passion to help others. I saw a down to earth guy who was simply a kid at heart. I especially like his video clips with his sister Janet, the mom and Elizabeth Taylor. He was blessed to have so many people love him.

The Unemployed Farmer

I was watching America's got talent tonight and the last performance was by a Unemployed Farmer - chicken farmer I think he said. Had his guitar and once he started singing - the good old country boys heart came alive. Was a great performance and I look forward to hearing him again.

These types of shows bring together so many diverse types of personalities. The Unemployed Farmer was a performance that leaves you with a good feeling that takes you by surprise. I love that and I love the South - If you've lived there you know what I'm talking about. Visiting is nice but it's not the same as living there and of course being married to a southern boy keeps the south alive in our home where ever we are.
