A Video Memory of my Dad...

video

My Dad passed on..

This is my favorite picture with me and Dad. It was taken after his stroke in October, 2008. He left us today on the Lords day... Sunday, February 22, 2009. My feelings are scattered because his passing should of not ended like this. It makes me sick to think of the hell his wife put him through... In time I will have to forgive her and the actions she inflicted upon my Dad. With God's strength I will be able to forgive in time- forgetting will be impossible. She took advantage of my Dads trust and destroyed my Dad's physical life. However she wasn't able to break the bond he shared with his children. The time we all had with him holds special memories - some that are heartbreaking; others just special and personal.. He was a simple quiet man - a man with a soul - he just didn't know how to share it until he was brought to his knees. I have learned alot from this experience; for that I'm eternally thankful. I love that he was a fighter and that is a quality he passed on to all his children.. I will miss him and I'll leave it at that..

Worst is Yet to Come..

I'm not freaked out are you? I was brought up in a conservative home and have continued living that way. I've been criticized by others for being conservative but I have to say - it's nice not to be in debt and living in fear. If you are living in fear and you want to do something about it.. Then let me suggest Dave Ramsy's book "The Total Money Makeover" This will give you the tools to get your life back on track.. Perhaps our government leaders should read it too..

The Shack - Whats Your Opinion

The Shack was referred to me from a friend and at the time I didn't think much about it until I actually saw it at Costco. There were stacks of it so I figured why not read it. I was excited about starting a new read until I noticed I was having a hard time grasping the first 4 chapters. The story just didn't stick with me so I stopped reading and aside it went. Never picked it up again and moved on..

Then I started hearing other people talk about it, raving high reviews which perked my attention. Robert came home from work and he was listening to a radio show about it, nothing he shared was raving at all. I then decided it was time to do my own research online. I realized that there was a reason why I didn't understand the first 4 chapters.. I wasn't suppose to read it.

Today I was given a link about the Shack and the 13 Heresies - they explain it perfectly for all to understand. Back in my mind I often wonder how people can get inspired in faith by a fictional book? Are we that lost as a society? Comfort in Gods word is found in the Bible and we hope in his followers. Sometimes the followers can be a disapointment to others as people expect Christians to be perfect. But we are not... and I pray I never act like it either...

Early in the morning I have quiet time, I read my bible followed by prayer, it's really the best time of my day.. My spirit is lifted to a place I never thought possible and it's an incredible feeling. Religion, faith, whatever you want to call it.. It's all about accepting Christ as your savior and growing a relationship with God. You can know God's word perfectly but if you don't feel it you have nothing..

So where "The Shack" might be a good story for many a relationship with God through Christ is going to give you eternity...

Defination of a Good Day..

The other day while I was driving Blake to karate he asked me - " Was today a good day for you?" With all that has been going on I had a hard time answering him. So I asked him; "What was his definition of a good day?" He was silent for a short while then he said... " First you need some really good chocolate - the yummy creamy milk chocolate kind that melts in your mouth, make sure you have lots of it... Then you need to sit on the couch and eat it.... after that turn on the tv, kick back and relax." That is a good day Mom!

It was pricesless and at the moment it was just what I needed to hear. He reminded me that we shouldn't let others define our happiness; you can find happiness in all you do. Love his outlook!

New Video I made...

Rocky Mountain Newspaper

This was a pretty neat field trip. Was hard to hear the gal talking as it was pretty loud at times. The kids seemed to enjoy the tour - No pictures of Felecia on this one she was at the head of the group..

This I think was in the final state where the papers are printed and being sorted.

Blake - behind him you can see the newspapers.. Felecia was off somewhere with the group.

The papers are on here - moving through after being printed.

More papers - coming down from the previous picture..

Where they print - they actually recycle their aluminum printing sleeves

Not sure what Blake was observing.

The newspaper rolls and moved by these machines- computer operated and timed..

The newspaper rolls..
